TreeHacks Hackathon
Eric Han, Sophie Wu, and Claudia Zhu demo their "Danger Zone" app at the TreeHacks hackathon. Their app uses public safety data and machine learning to assess the dangerous of areas for pedestrians and then suggest the safest walking path.
Each year over 1,000 college students attend TreeHacks – a hackathon held at Stanford Univiersity where students compete for 36 hours straight to produce "hacks" that could lead to the next big innovation in areas such as health, safety, and awareness.
